Message 16

This is our month of making positive decisions. God has set life and death before us and we have to choose which way we would go. Our decisions could either result in life or death; emotional, financial, marital, physical or spiritual death. The enemy’s plan is that we would make the wrong decision that will destroy us. Our choices have power. The refusal to make a choice is in itself is a decision as well. Everything that happens to a man in this world is founded on decisions. God doesn’t dictate to us, He can only advise us. As long as this earth is concerned you have the right to make your own decision. A mature person is one who perceives and accepts when they have made a wrong decision and then either change their minds or make amends.

The whole world is making diverse decisions every single day that passes but the question is are those decisions good or bad. If we don’t make positive decisions, we will definitely pay the price. Your decisions are to a larger extent influenced by what you stand for or believe in. if you don’t stand for anything, the wind of life will toss you to and fro. If you don’t decide what you want, life will decide for you. Most of the harm that comes to man is as a result of not taking a decision. Regret is a result of not taking a decision or taking a wrong one.

It is better that your decision didn’t work out than for others to make decisions for you. Don’t be swayed by the advice of men. Advice is not a command; therefore don’t be compelled to follow it. We are all individually accountable for our decisions. Decision is the act of making up your mind about something. It has to be a deliberate conscious choice. Don’t keep that situation in limbo. You will suffer all kinds of setbacks and destabilization when you delay a decision. Don’t allow decision making to linger or else the situation will deteriorate and consume you. God is saying to you; make up your mind.

The only thing you can be assured of is the total control you have over your own life. And God needs us to exercise this authority to achieve what we want. Know the value of your decision. You cannot please everyone so don’t try to make decisions to please people. Have the gut to say yes or no. Don’t stand in the middle. Everyone cannot love you. A Christian is not afraid to stand up for something. Decide on who you want to be from today. Make a decision concerning your life and be proud of your decision. If no one acknowledges you, acknowledge yourself. Don’t be a chameleon, changing your color from day to day.

Stop living your life trying to satisfy everyone. You have the power to make a choice. Don’t be indecisive, that is not the plan of God for you. You must know what you want, fight for it and defend it at all cost until you achieve it. Make up your mind about who you want to be and pursue that choice diligently.

Don’t’ follow the rave of the moment. Be distinguished. Make a choice to be on the Lord’s side so that even if you die today, you will have no regrets. Don’t base your decisions on wealth and money because these things don’t last forever. There is a price to pay for every decision you make. Don’t back down when things get difficult. You may go through pain, but it will end in gain. You may go through desolation but after a while it will end in comfort. I pray that you will have the Grace to take such decisions in your life.

When you take decisions, take it alongside with God. Don’t be concerned about what you will benefit or what you will gain. Don’t be bothered by pride and showmanship instead be concerned with knowing and doing the will of God. Don’t rely on your own understanding. The fact that you know Christ doesn’t mean you won’t go through pain. Christ doesn’t promise us the absence of trial, but the promise is of victory at the end of the trial.

Lean on, trust in and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize and acknowledge God and He will direct and make your paths straight and plain (Proverbs 3:5-6).If God is the one leading you, you must have confidence in him and his leadership. No matter what will come your way your tomorrow must be greater than today. Be strong in your decision because God is with you. When you trust God, you can never go wrong.

Kill every pride in you; don’t see yourself as more important than you are. Take a decision today to lean on God. One of the things you need to make your decision today is Hope. When you take a decision you need to have hope that God will never leave you and He will never forsake you. This Hope should influence all the decisions you make

You must decide to keep your hope alive. Don’t give up until your change comes. Moses was stripped of his royalty all because he chose to identify with the people of God. When it is raining to follow Jesus, when fire is burning, no matter how difficult it may be decide to never surrender or bow down to any other image. Following God and trusting in Him alone is not an easy decision and it comes at a price.

Are you ready to go through the pain of this decision? Are you ready to go through the pain that will follow? The enemy is good at giving people options but when you count of God He will never fail you. Make up your mind not to give up your integrity. Have hope in God. Make the decision to stand on the Lord’s side, don’t turn back. Many may say things against you but know that when you take a positive decision, you must stand by it. God will not just send help he will test you, to be sure whether you will stand.

God says though weeping may endure for a night, joy will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). It is easy to take a stand in good times. But the integrity of that decision is that when trouble and trialscome will you still keep hope alive in the midst of difficult times? Don’t be pressurized by circumstances or people to change the good decision you have taken. No matter the price, don’t give up. Don’t lose sleep over the things happening around you.

The bible says that many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand (Prov. 19:21). God’s purpose for you will surely prevail no matter what you are facing today. Your tomorrow will surely be better than today. I can see a change coming, I see the mighty outstretched arm of God turning thing around.

Once you discover the path of God for you, you must keep your hope alive. Don’t give up on God because He himself will not give up on you. Your difficult situation will pass. Your case will not be like this forever. Have a hope that your tomorrow shall be greater. The God of Hope is by your side. Don’t change your value because of what you are going through. Don’t let what you will eat today destroy your senses. The devil is fighting your integrity but if you stand on God, He will never fail you.

Take a decision for God and stand, Keep your Hope alive
